Astrid & Her Amazing “Rain or No Rain, Astrid is Perfectly Sane”-Adventure

Today, it rained in Astrid’s country. So it wouldn’t have been much fun for Astrid to go out and live some adventures outside of her home.

So she stayed in, instead. She lit some curtains, cranberries, and candles and made her room as cozy as possible. Then she looked at her magnetic poetry board, read the phrases “make me like the overwhelming smell under my arms” and “my car smells like a drooling puppy with an enormous egg” and decided that these phrases wouldn’t really mind spending some time outside in the rain. So she borrowed two lilac pool-chairs of her Barbie-dolls, placed the phrases on it, and put them outside in the rain next to the bird-pond in her garden. Then she sneaked inside again, pulled a few words out of a box, and wrote down the following phrase:

“I think I am cool when I join a SHAKE-club.”

Can you be cool too and join the club? Astrid SHAKES her head. No way! So what do people do at this club? Well, in the morning they SHAKE pancake-mixes and bake pancakes. In the afternoon, they listen to the Chiquita banana-song and SHAKE their asses. In the evening, they do quiz-shows with tremendous prizes. The task is to either SHAKE “yes” or “no” to answer the questions correctly and then a whole range of prizes is shown. If the participant likes the prizes then he/she must SHAKE “yes.” At the end of the day, charming fellows and ladies come to give soothing neck-messages:

Yes, I think Astrid would be cool when she joins a SHAKE-club. Now she is out in the rain getting the “make me like the overwhelming smell under my arms” and “my car smells like a drooling puppy with an enormous egg”-phrases in again. It’s quite a tricky endeavor.

I am shaking a bag with graham crackers in it. Next I will shake my fist at the oven for overcooking dinner.

It's a good job that person in the photo is wearing that fetching green waterproof. Otherwise they might run the risk of getting wet.

I wanna be in the shake-club. I like clubs. I like massages too. And the chaquita banana song.

If it was raining like that here, I'd be jumping around in the water wearing my swim shorts - If anybody looked too dry, I'd splash them until they got soaking wet, like me.

There are a lot of smells going on here. I think your magnetic poetry is trying to tell you something. It's no good just standing in the rain in your back garden, you'll have to start using all those presents you got for your birthday. ;)
